for FS pve, you should always have flamethrower. ignore any guide that suggests otherwise. flamethrower is like 90% of your dps. my suggestion would be to keep FS/IG as your main. eventually get an artifact like the finisher or abyss and pair that with either your FS or IG for when you want to do an M3. I use fire ant armour myself, as a solo the acid aoe can be handy. I also use the ladybird shield, they just buffed it so perfect blocking gives 5 seconds of free stamina on attacks, so perfect block into combo uses no stamina. Can couple that load out with whatever one handed weapons you like. Ladybug armor, if i need to be tanky.
