I recently signed up for the dasher direct card and its on the way to me. I did have a few questions that I hope y'all could help me get answers to. I currently have my regular weekly deposit going to a prepaid debit card and my fast pay is set up to go to my bank whenever I need the $ badly.So, I signed up through the Dasher Direct app. They created me a virtual card, account numbers, and obviously the physical card will be sent. Then I went to driver app and switched payout method to Dasher Direct. Everything seemed smooth. When I went back to earnings, my 42.50 balance had dropped to $14.79. So I thought: “wow, that was fast! Drivers delivering with DoorDash are paid weekly via a secured direct deposit to their personal bank account — or via no-fee daily deposits with DasherDirect (U.S. Only). Dashers in the U.S. and Canada can withdraw their earnings once daily with Fast Pay ($1.99 per transfer). Dasher direct is great as a way to get your money quickly from DD to your other bank account. I wouldn't recommend it as your main bank account, but technically it is a checking account with a routing number, etc and you could use it to direct deposit from any other job. The pros for the Dasher Direct card are you don’t have to pay $1.99 to cash out (only limited to once a day), and you have your money each time you end your dash. So if you can deal with the hassle of transferring money via Apple Wallet while your card arrives, I would say it’s worth it (so far).
