As some People already pointed out, it’s a better turntable than anything new you could get in that price range. It’s direct drive but doesn’t have a particularly powerful motor. I have the Rega Carbon stock cartridge and i realized when i put the volume very high ( not playing music ) i hear a very distinctive HUM.
