FNaF1 and FNaF4 did the horror right in my opinion. They mixed creepy atmosphere, helplessness, tension, and eeriness all together pretty well. FNaF2's horror was eh. It had some good ass mechanics, though. FNaF3's atmosphere was too "try hard-y" and the Phantoms were basically what people don't like about FNaF.
